THE TECHNOLOGY

Needle Depth and the PRP Option

Set at your assessment

Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries so the skin repairs itself. Depth is set per area by your nurse, because the forehead and the cheeks do not tolerate the same setting. The result builds over months rather than appearing overnight.

Standard microneedling
Medical-grade device, depth adjusted per area, used for texture, pores and mild scarring.
PRP microneedling
Adds platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood. Some patients report a better response, though the evidence is promising rather than settled.
Safe across skin tones
Microneedling is mechanical rather than light-based, so it is generally suitable across Fitzpatrick types when settings are chosen carefully.
Assessed first
Active acne, active infection, recent isotretinoin use and a history of keloid scarring all need review before treatment.

What drives the price

What drives the variation: the size of the treatment area, how coarse or dense your hair is, and the total number of units required for your specific skin and hair combination. Every estimate is confirmed during your free 15-minute nurse assessment, with no hidden fees or surprise charges at checkout.

Medical-grade, not budget

Pricing reflects medical-grade medical-grade device technology and licensed nurse-specialist care. This is not a budget laser service. It is precise, clinical work designed to deliver real permanent reduction.

NURSE-LED & SAFE

Why Nurse-Led Matters Here

In Texas, microneedling is performed by appropriately trained personnel under physician delegation, and the standard varies considerably between clinics. At InjectCo Austin, treatment is performed by a licensed registered nurse under physician supervision, within Texas Medical Board requirements.

The difference shows up in needle depth and in knowing when not to treat. Active acne, recent isotretinoin use, a history of keloid scarring and certain skin conditions all change the plan, and a nurse who can recognise that is worth more than the device itself.

WHAT TO EXPECT

4

01

Consultation and Skin Assessment

Your visit starts with a skin check and a plan.

02

Preparation

The nurse cleans your skin and applies a numbing cream, so the treatment stays comfortable.

03

Treatment

Microneedling itself takes about 30 minutes, a little longer if you add PRP and we draw and prepare your blood first. Most people say it feels like light sandpaper or a mild vibration, nothing sharp.

04

Results

Right after, your skin looks flushed, like a mild sunburn, for about one to three days. You may feel tight or dry for a day or two while it settles.

Your Results Timeline

Day 1

Treated area is calm within hours; redness fades same day.

10 to 21 days

Treated hairs shed naturally as the follicles release.

Each session

Progressively finer, lighter regrowth between visits.

Over a course

Results build across a series rather than a single session.

Simple aftercare

Apply SPF 50 to treated areas for 48 hours, skip the gym for a day, and do not wax or use depilatory creams between sessions. Shaving between visits is fine.

Frequently Asked

Frequently Asked Questions About Microneedling in Austin

Microneedling with PRP is $799 at InjectCo. Microneedling on its own is set at your consultation, because the price depends on the area and how many sessions you need. Across Austin, single sessions commonly run from about $200 to $550, and adding PRP raises the price. A series usually lowers the cost per session.

Usually you wait about two weeks after a Sculptra treatment before microneedling, so the product has time to settle. Timing can change based on how much you had and where, so your nurse confirms the right gap at your visit. The goal is to protect your filler result and still get the collagen benefit.

Active autoimmune conditions like lupus can be a reason to hold off on microneedling, since the skin heals differently and flares are a concern. Your provider reviews your health history first and will not treat you if it is not safe. If microneedling is not a fit, we can talk through other options.

It depends on the area treated, how many sessions you need, and whether you add PRP. A single small-area session costs less than a full-face series with PRP. The best value is a nurse building a plan around your skin instead of selling you more sessions than you need, which is what your consultation is for.

Not much. We apply a numbing cream first, so most patients feel only light pressure or a mild vibration, like soft sandpaper moving across the skin. Bonier areas near the forehead or jaw can feel a bit more, but it is brief. If you add PRP, the blood draw feels like a normal lab draw.

Plan on looking flushed, like a mild sunburn, for about one to three days. Your skin may feel tight or dry for a day or two. Most people wear makeup and return to normal life the next day. You will get simple aftercare steps and should wear sunscreen daily while your skin heals.

Microneedling is best for acne scars, rough or uneven texture, large pores, fine lines, and dull, tired skin. It can also help some stretch marks and older scars on the body. For deep pigment or active acne, your nurse may pair it with a peel or start with a different plan so you treat the right problem first.

PRP is platelet-rich plasma made from your own blood. We draw a small sample, spin it to concentrate the growth factors, and apply it into the channels made during microneedling. Because it uses your body's own healing signals, many patients feel it improves results for scars and dull skin. This add-on is often called a vampire facial, and it is $799 with microneedling.

Most patients treating scars or texture do a series of three sessions, spaced about four to six weeks apart, so collagen has time to build between visits. Lighter goals like a general refresh may need fewer. Your nurse gives you a clear plan at your consultation, plus an upkeep schedule for later.

Important Safety Information

Microneedling at InjectCo Austin is performed by licensed registered nurses under physician supervision. Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen. PRP may be added using your own blood.

Known risks include redness, swelling, peeling, temporary pigment change and, less commonly, scarring or infection. Recent sun exposure, active infection, isotretinoin use and a history of keloid scarring all need review before treatment.

Results build over several weeks and usually need a series. Some patients report added benefit from PRP, though evidence is promising rather than settled.

Individual results vary. This treatment may not be suitable for everyone. Consult your medical provider.
